District municipality assists in sanitizing public areas
While Community Screening and Testing continues in various towns across the West Coast region the District Municipality (WCDM) in partnership with local municipalities continues to work towards a safer and more hygienic environment.
“Swift and collaborative approaches by municipalities to address the humanitarian and social challenges faced by communities are critical to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus,” the municipality says in a statement.

The WCDM Disaster Management and Fire Services started with sanitization of public spaces in various regions by using a self-made anolyte sanitizer.
“Anolyte is a natural and effective known biocides. It eradicates 99.9% of all bacteria, mycobacteria, spores, fungi and viruses within 15 seconds.
“It is 100% safe for anyone to use.”

In addition to cleaning public areas WCDM Fire Services will assist the South African Police Service to sanitize the reception areas and holding cells at local police stations.
The WCDM essential services continue as per normal while the West Coast Disaster Centre emergency line remains operational 24 hours a day.”
